Travis Scott’s first signature sneaker by Jordan Brand is here – the Jumpman Jack Trainer. Today, I got my hands on the first colourway to widely release – the “Sail / Dark Mocha” edition. These sneakers feature premium materials, with a design obviously rooted in Nike trainers from the late 80s and early 90s. Adidas and A Bathing Ape just dropped their latest of many collaborations, this time working together on the 1990s skateboarding shoe model – the Adidas Norton (also called the Adidas Lawsuit or LWST). Changing it up and calling it the “N”, these dropped in late April in two colourways. Check out my video as I review the “Shadow Green” pair, and let me know if this is something you’d rock or not!
New Balance is set to release a handful of incredible colourway of their 993 model. First up, releasing on April 25th is this “Chive” colourway which I managed to pickup early – featuring a bright green upper comprised of genuine suede, mesh, reflective panels and more. Originally released in 1989, it continues to be one of the brand’s most popular models, so its fitting that they released this special edition colourway for the moment! Instagram moodboard turned brand – Hidden NY, is releasing their collaboration with Asics on the Gel-NYC tomorrow, March 23rd. This pair draw inspiration from their online origins, with references to digital design tools like a pixelated Asics stripe on the side. New Balance recently launched the Brights Revival pack of the 991 V2 silhouette – dropping two vibrant, bold colourways of their newest Made in England model. The pair I’m reviewing today is the “Dazzling Blue” colourway, which is crafted in a bold blue hue in a mix of pig suede, mesh and synthetic layers. Bad Bunny and Adidas recently dropped a brand new colourway of the Response CL model, this time in a cream-based “Wonder White” makeup. This pair is crafted using genuine suedes along the upper, while still retaining that signature look of past models with Bad Bunny branding, and that “drip” effect along the midsole. As part of Aimé Leon Dore’s Spring / Summer ’24 collection, the brand quietly released this New Balance 990 V6 “Incense” to the surprise of many. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023. Legendary pro skateboarder, Ishod Wair, just released his second signature sneaker with Nike SB, named the Air Max Ishod. Dropping in two colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Persian Violet / Obsidian” colourway (from a lifestyle wearer’s perspective), which fuses retro 90 design, Air Max influences, on a pro skateboarder’s silhouette.
