Legendary pro skateboarder, Ishod Wair, just released his second signature sneaker with Nike SB, named the Air Max Ishod. Dropping in two colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Persian Violet / Obsidian” colourway (from a lifestyle wearer’s perspective), which fuses retro 90 design, Air Max influences, on a pro skateboarder’s silhouette. Last year, Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. To close out the year, they released two new colourways on Christmas Day, one in White / Black, and the other a Multicoloured pair. A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand close off 2023 with one final collab, this time a two-shoe Air Jordan 5 pack nicknamed “Dawn” and “Dusk”. Today I’ll be reviewing the “Dusk” pair, which is crafted using a black nubuck upper, with vintage detailing, and burgundy coloured accents. Opting for a mix of cream coloured leather and shaggy green suede, we also have Christmas red accents throughout, for a festive, but stil wearable result. Nike just dropped this two shoe “Tweed / Corduroy” pack, consisting of a Nike Air Force 1, and the shoe I’m reviewing today – a Dunk Low. Crafted using a mix of premium fabrics such as tweed, corduroy, wool and more, this is the perfect sneaker to wear in the chillier months with a more grown up look and feel. Asics recently released this fresh general release colourway of their popular Gel-Kayano 14 model. Named “Simply Taupe / Oatmeal”, it has a more premium feel with a tonal mesh and suede upper, in various shades of cream and beige. Celebrating the X-Men’s 60th Anniversary, Kith teamed up with Marvel and Asics to release 7 different colourways of the Gel-Lyte III, each representing different iconic X-Men characters. In my final video for this series, I’ll be giving you a detailed review of the ultra limited “Wolverine 1975” colourway, which is based off of Wolverine’s original costume from the 70s.
