The legendary Wu-Tang Dunk High is finally getting a proper release on November 9th! Once considered a mythical grail sneaker with only a handful in existence, this is one of those pairs most collectors never imagined they’d ever be able to own. I recently picked up the “University Gold / Black” Zoom Vomero 5 by Nike for under retail. A bright and bold colourway that offers a little something different stylistically, while still retaining incredible comfort that the model is known for. Adidas recently launched a new silhouette called the Adizero Aruku, which draws inspiration from a 2000s Japan-exclusive running shoe called the Adizero PR. Featuring Swirlfoam technology in the midsole done in a motion-promoting rocker style, these are an incredbly dynamic feeling sneaker under foot. Jordan Brand continues their “Reimagined” series with the release of the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe”. Mimicking the look of the prototype version without the iconic “Wings” logo, this pair features quality leathers on the upper in the classic red, white and black make up. Travis Scott and Jordan Brand are back with another Air Jordan 1 Low. This familiar looking colourway, “Medium Olive”, was seen in last year’s women’s release, but this version features more olive tones with black accents instead of the inverse for last year’s. Kith teamed up with Marvel and Asics to release a special “Marvel Villains” collection, consisting of apparel, accessories and five limited edition sneakers. Today I’m reviewing the Venom themed Asics GT-2160 which was part of a two-shoe Battle Spectra Pack, alongside the Spider-Man colourway. The incredibly popular “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1, which dropped first in 2020 as a high top, returns later this week as a Low. Featuring the same look with a sail leather base, black leather overlays and dark mocha coloured nubuck, these are the perfect shoe to wear in the fall months ahead!
Last month, New Balance dropped a series of city exclusive colourways of their 991 V2 silhouette. Each pair is regional specific, like the “Yellow” pair I’m reviewing today which was an Asia-Pacific exclusive sold only in Melbourne and Seoul. Just five years after the last retro (that I also happened to review), the Nike Air Tech Challenge II is back in the original “Hot Lava” colourway, as part of Nike’s Cult Classics reissue program.
